This CPD is aimed at aquatic professionals to develop an understanding of mental health and build confidence in recognising when individuals may be struggling. It supports learners in identifying the signs and indicators of poor mental health, while also reinforcing the importance of maintaining appropriate professional boundaries and understanding when to involve specialist support services.
In addition, the CPD encourages self-awareness by exploring strategies for maintaining personal mental health and highlights the important relationship between physical activity and positive mental health outcomes.
The mental health content has been developed with Mind as part of their licenced mental health content for sport and physical activity courses and qualification.
