Here, you will find a list of all Safety Training Awards qualification related fees, ensuring this information is easily accessible to any potential purchaser, without them having to request it from us, providing a transparent service from the start.

Charged Independantly by Approved Training Centres (ATCs)
Safety Training Awards’ qualifications are organised, set-up and ran independantly by it’s Approved Training Centres (ATCs).
Prices to book onto a qualification will vary depending on the qualification and Approved Training Centre (ATC).
Prices quoted usually include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Booking / admin fee
- Learner resources
- Despatch of learner resources
- Assessment materials
- Venue hire
- Tutor / Assessor fees
- Qualification retake (if neccessary).
Matters relating to fees and the administration / running of courses are the responsibility of Approved Training Centres (ATCs) in the first instance.

This fee includes a replacement ‘physical’ certificate posted to the address we have on record.
Electronic certificates are available free of charge from STA Online.

Free of charge
There are no annual fees or costs to become a Safety Training Awards Approved Training Centre (ATC), however fees will apply for External Quality Assurance (EQA) monitoring activities.
Additional benefits included when you apply to become an ATC are:

- Adding additional sites and staff
- Additional disciplines / qualifications
- Safety Training Awards moderations of paperwork
- Allocated Centre Administrator to support the administration of your ATC.
All ATCs are subject to EQA fees for external quality assurance monitoring activities that must be completed to meet regulatory requirements. The EQA’s prime function is to provide advice, guidance and support to ATCs who deliver or who wish to deliver regulated qualifications. This allows ATCs to maintain the quality of assessment and internal quality assurance practice within their centre, and to ensure Safety Training Awards requirements are being met.

As part of STA’s ongoing commitment to support our ATC network there have been no fees for the remote EQA monitoring activities in 2021 due to the ongoing challenges of COVID-19. Safety Training Awards have reviewed the current EQA fees and we are pleased to announce that we have reduced the EQA fees significantly for 2022 to support ATCs further to increase operations. Please see the details below for more information.

All face to face EQA visits in 2022 will be arranged for when a STA course is taking place so an observation of the assessment process can be completed in line with the Centre Assessment Standard Scrutiny (CASS) Strategy to meet regulatory requirements. For confirmed face to face EQA visits, if an issue arises that means the course cannot go ahead, where possible please provide at least 24 hours notice to the Quality Assurance Team at STA so we can make alternative arrangements with you and rearrange the EQA bookings. Please note: Where EQA fees apply the ATC will receive an invoice from STA once the completed EQA report has been issued to the ATC Co-ordinator and payment of the invoice is required within 28 days. |
