We understand that fees and pricing play a major part in any learner’s or training provider’s decision to work with an Awarding Organisation.

Here, you will find a list of all Safety Training Awards qualification related fees, ensuring this information is easily accessible to any potential purchaser, without them having to request it from us, providing a transparent service from the start.

We are committed to offering our customers the highest level customer service, guidance and support. Prices are reviewed regularly to remain competitive, without compromising on quality.

Charged Independantly by Approved Training Centres (ATCs)

Safety Training Awards’ qualifications are organised, set-up and ran independantly by it’s Approved Training Centres (ATCs).

Prices to book onto a qualification will vary depending on the qualification and Approved Training Centre (ATC).

Prices quoted usually include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Booking / admin fee
  • Learner resources
  • Despatch of learner resources
  • Assessment materials
  • Venue hire
  • Tutor / Assessor fees
  • Qualification retake (if neccessary).

Matters relating to fees and the administration / running of courses are the responsibility of Approved Training Centres (ATCs) in the first instance.

This fee includes a replacement ‘physical’ certificate posted to the address we have on record.

To request a replacement certificate please contact Safety Training Awards on +44 (0)1922 645097 to pay by credit / debit card.

Electronic certificates are available free of charge from STA Online.

If learners are not satisfied with the enquiry outcome of stage 1, they may escalate the desicion to stage 2 of the ‘Appeals Against Results’ process.

Free of charge

There are no annual fees or costs to become a Safety Training Awards Approved Training Centre (ATC), however fees will apply for External Quality Assurance (EQA) monitoring activities.

Additional benefits included when you apply to become an ATC are:

  • ATC Manual
  • Access to Synergy – a secure online centre administration system
  • Synergy training
  • Adding additional sites and staff
  • Additional disciplines / qualifications
  • Safety Training Awards moderations of paperwork
  • Allocated Centre Administrator to support the administration of your ATC.

All ATCs are subject to EQA fees for external quality assurance monitoring activities that must be completed to meet regulatory requirements. Please see the ‘External Quality Assurance’ section for more information on External Quality Assurance (EQA) fees.

An EQA will be allocated to all ATCs to support the operations within the centre, the above fees are inclusive of this continued support.
Additional Charges Additional charges may apply when:

  • There is a compliance issue within the ATC – should an investigation take place and a further EQA visit is required, an additional EQA fee of £250 may be charged
  • Admin fee – If there is a compliance issue within the ATC and further moderations are required, an additional fee of £50 may be charged
  • Admin fee – Only for those ATCs choosing to use a paper based administration system rather than using the online Synergy system, an additional fee of £50 per year will be charged.
