STA’s Safeguarding Children, Young People and Vulnerable Adults CPD is the latest online learning programme from Safety Training Awards to gain CIMSPA endorsement, enabling participants to gain 4 CIMSPA CPD points – in addition to the 1 STA CPD point.
Kaylë Brightwell MCIMSPA, STA’s Head of Qualification Development, said: “It is fantastic to achieve endorsement from the sector’s single chartered professional body. It further highlights the high quality of this CPD, its content and relevance to aquatic professionals.”
“STA’s Safeguarding CPD has been written with aquatic teachers in mind and provides information on the different forms of abuse, the role of statutory agencies, social media and good practice procedures. It also explains the role of an aquatic teacher; how to deal with incidents and good recruitment practices in accordance with the latest changes in legislation and best practice documents.”
This CPD, which is valid for 3 years, is suitable for all aquatic teachers; baby and pre-school swimming teachers, swimming teachers and people with disabilities swimming teachers. Aquatic instructors such as pool snorkelling instructors, poolside helpers and swimming assistants may also find this 4-hour (approx.) CPD beneficial.
