Tutor and ATC Upskill Programmes, Course Registrations and ATC Digital Marketing Packs are now LIVE!
STA are excited to announce the new STA Swimming Teacher qualification is almost ready to launch, the Tutor and ATC Upskill programmes are now live!
To deliver the new qualification, tutors are required to complete the online STA Swimming Teacher Tutor Upskill Programme. This upskill is worth ½ CPD point and includes key information on course content, delivery, resources, assessment requirements, tutor expectations, and FAQs.
It is strongly recommended that IQAs who wish to quality assure the qualification also complete the tutor upskill.
STA has additionally released the STA Swimming Teacher ATC Upskill Programme, designed to support ATC co-ordinators and administrators in organising and delivering the qualification. This upskill is also worth ½ CPD point and covers course delivery, costings, assessment requirements, and FAQs.
Both upskill programmes are available through the STA Swim-Shop and are free for STA members, or £25 for non-members.
Once ATCs have the correct staffing in place, they will be able to register STA Swimming Teacher courses starting from January 2026. Please note, ATCs cannot register a course without the required staffing—tutors must complete the upskill before registrations can proceed.
