Technical Notice: What to Expect from your EQA Visit Guidance

Posted on 13th February 2024

To support Approved Training Centres (ATC) Safety Training Awards (STA) have released a What to Expect from your EQA Visit Guidance document.

External Quality Assurance (EQA) visits are important to ensure and maintain high standards of quality, consistency, and compliance within the ATC, and across all ATCs. The EQA team look at the performance, procedures, and compliance of the ATC against the required standards laid down by STA as the Awarding Organisation and the Regulators with their supportive approach.

Found within STA Online > Resources > Approved Training Centre, the document contains FAQs, guidance on each stage of the visit and an ATC EQA Monitoring Activity Preparation Checklist. The checklist, also available on STA Online as a standalone document, is in place to support ATC co-ordinators in preparing for their upcoming EQA monitoring activity.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Quality Assurance Team who would be happy to help.
