Update to the STA Award in Teaching Swimming Multiple-Choice Question Assessment Materials

Following feedback from learners and tutors, STA has amended the:
- STA Award in Teaching Swimming Multiple-Choice Learner Answer Sheet
- STA Award in Teaching Swimming Multiple-Choice Tutor Marking Schemes.
The documents have been changed so the units go down rather than across, unit 1 in the top left, unit two is now in the bottom left, unit three is now in the top right and unit four is in the bottom right.
The documents are version v22.2 and will be sent out from Monday 22nd August.
Tutors should ensure learners are prepared for the MCQ assessment by completing the sample MCQ paper, found within STA Online course resources. This will help learners with the style and layout of questions ready for the final MCQ assessment. Tutors should go through the MCQ assessment slides at the end of the PowerPoint Presentation to ensure all learners are aware of the assessment conditions and procedures and that they are able to highlight key words or make notes on the question paper.
Although the revision worksheets within the portfolios and sample papers do not form part of the final assessment, they are designed to support and prepare learners for the final assessment. Therefore, STA strongly recommend tutors use these documents and especially the sample papers and use them in the format provided by STA rather than on an interactive platform.
As part of the update, the unit numbers have been added to the unit title within the multiple-choice question papers.
