Changes to Pool Lifeguarding and Safety Award for Teachers MCQ Pass Marks

Following an assessment review, Safety Training Awards (STA) have made amendments to the pass marks for the STA Level 2 Award in Pool Lifeguarding and STA Level 2 Award in Safety Award for Teachers qualifications, with immediate effect.
The new pass marks are as follows:
STA Award in Pool Lifeguarding
STA Award in Safety Award for Teachers
Course resources such as PowerPoint presentations, Assessment Strategies and the Pool Lifeguarding Practical Marking Sheet have been updated to reflect the amendments. The updated paperwork can be downloaded via STA Online.
STA has created a sample Pool Lifeguarding MCQ assessment paper which learners can complete during the course for revision purposes. The sample MCQ assessment paper can be downloaded via STA Online.
For learners who are currently undertaking the qualification, please use the new pass marks stated in this notification not the marks on the MCQ assessment papers. STA will be sending out new MCQ Assessment Papers for current registered courses, please either return your unused assessment papers to STA, Anchor House, WS2 8HZ or shred them accordingly.
