Student Teachers Certificate Update

Following feedback from our members we’d like to inform you of some changes we have made to the Student Teachers Certificate.
Registration Process
As a course organiser, you are no longer required to register the Student Teachers Certificate via STA Online. You can simply purchase the learner’s manual and newly designed certificate from the STA Swim-Shop and run your award.
In order to make the Student Teachers Certificate more accessible, swimming teachers holding the STA Level 2 Certificate in Swimming Teaching are now eligible to purchase and deliver this award.
New Certificate Design
The certificate has been redesigned to make it more engaging for teenagers and young adults completing this award.
Cost Reductions
The cost for physical copies of the learner’s manual has been reduced from between £12.00-£7.00 to simply £5.00 – regardless of the quantity ordered.
Electronic copies of the manual are now available as a free download via STA Online, which can be used as an alternative to purchasing physical copies. There is no longer a registration fee per learner.
The Student Teachers Certificate remains the perfect award for providing preliminary training in swimming teaching skills for teenagers and young adults, and is a natural stepping stone to a swimming teaching qualification.
